1 RIPPLE TANK - BASIC This economy Ripple Tank System comes as a ready-to-use unit. Comprises a tough, moulded frame with a large transparent viewing surface. The Ripple Tank light source is a 6V halogen lamp which gives excellent illumination. The tank has sloping sides which minimise noise. 2xAA batteries and a 12V power supply are required. 2 BRECKLAND RUBENS’ TUBE Designed to demonstrate a standing wave pattern using flames! Consists of an aluminium tube with a row of small holes drilled along the top and 15W loudspeaker mounted at one end. There is a gas inlet (8mm) for connecting to natural or LP gas. Handles at each end ensure safe and easy movement. The apparatus is for teacher demonstrations only and requires appropriate risk assessment and safety precautions to be observed.
