It is perfect for illustrating the effects of air pressure in a highly visual way through the use of a marshmallow. Experiment: 1. Roll the marshmallow to flatten and enable to to get it inside the flask 2. Insert the flask vacuum pump firmly and begin pumping - the marshmallow will begin to expand 3. Remove the vacuum pump and watch the marshmallow return to normal! Please note that only high quality, undamaged glassware should be used for this experiment. We recommend either Simax , 100ml Narrow Mouth Flasks. Wine bottles can also be used, clear ones are best to allow full view of the marshmallow.
