ALGAE - LIVE Living Algae cultures concentrated in one drop dispensers. Most are supplied in 30ml standard cultures, sufficient for up to 30 students.

Chlamydomonas Nivalis (30ml) - A small phototrophic phytoflagellate good for showing motile unicellular morphology.

Chlorella (30ml) - Monotonous non-motile tiny spherical unicells with a single parietal chloroplast. Useful alga for showing oxygen liberation during photosynthesis. Or for use in haemacytometers as substitute for blood corpuscles. Mixed Algae (50ml) - A jar of instantly recognisable genera: typically Volvox, Chlamydomonas, Spirogyra, Chlorella and Euglena. Also included are Diatoms, Desmids, Cyanobacteria and other fascinating forms. Scenedesmus (30ml) - An excellent example of a typical planktonic algae and amenable for demonstrating photosynthetic oxygen liberation and primary productivity.
